Visit of the Argentinian General Consul

The Argentinian General Consul in Hamburg, Mr. Fernando Brun and the deputy Consul Ms. Verónica Quadri are visiting the University of Göttingen on March 6, 2017. Mr. Fernando Brun and Ms. Verónica Quadri are meeting with Argentinian researchers working at the University as well as in the Max Planck Institutes in Göttingen. The visit takes place in the context of a series of meetings between the Consulate and several academic institutions in North Germany with the purpose of strengthening the ties between Argentinian researchers in Germany.

The Argentinian Embassy in Germany supports the Network of Argentinian Scientists in Germany (the RCAA), formed by Argentinian researchers, scientists and academics, living long-term or short-term in Germany. It promotes the relations between Argentinian scientists and the institutes and facilities in which they work in Germany and research centres and universities in Argentina, especially in relation to the current scientific developments taking place in Germany.

The RCAA works within the Argentinian Embassy´s Department for International Cooperation in Berlin in combination with the Ministry for Science, Technology and Productive Innovation -MINCYT- and in association with the Argentinian Foreign Service.

The University of Göttingen currently cooperates with seven universities in Argentina and thirteen Argentinian Students (Master and PhD) are enrolled at the University of Göttingen.
