University Network ENLIGHT to become “European University”
The university network ENLIGHT is to become a European University. The EU will fund the network of nine research-intensive universities, among them the University of Göttingen, with five million euro for a three-year period. The NICE Programme: A new approach to student mobility
How can students have an international experience without necessarily travelling abroad? Since 2017, the Network for Intercultural Competence to facilitate Entrepreneurship (NICE) brings together students from eight universities within Europe to work together virtually. The “CC-TOP” Consortium, which is coordinated by the TU Darmstadt and headed in Göttingen by Prof. Dr. Kai Tittmann, has been selected for EU funding of a European network for the collaborative training of doctoral candidates.

Cooperation Anniversaries with Nanjing University
The University of Göttingen has cooperated very successfully with its most important Chinese partner Nanjing University since 1984. On 8th and 9th November 2019, the partner universities celebrated 35 years of successful strategic partnership and 30 years of the joint Sino-German Institute for Legal Studies. Once again, a PhD student from the University of Göttingen was selected as one of three finalists in the three-minute-thesis competition of the European University network Coimbra Group.
