Doctoral Scholarship Programme with China Scholarship Council 2020
This year again, Chinese students planning or already pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Göttingen had the opportunity to apply for a scholarship from the China Scholarship Council (CSC) under the joint doctoral scholarship scheme of the University of Göttingen and the CSC. This programme encompasses all subjects offered at the University of Göttingen. The Chinese doctoral students receive a CSC scholarship for a period of up to 48 months. This year’s applicants were especially successful. From 25 completely submitted applications, CSC chose more than 90 percent and granted new scholarships to 23 Chinese students from the areas of Agricultural Sciences (3), Biology (2), Chemistry (3), Computer Sciences (1), Forest Sciences (7), Medicine (4), and German Philology (3). Despite the continuing Coronavirus-related difficulties, the Chinese students are eager to start (or continue) their doctoral studies in Göttingen and their supervisors are waiting to welcome them in their research groups.
