The success stories continue!

Two Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) study programmes at the University of Göttingen were selected for EU co-funding in this year’s call.

Established in 1999, the EMJMD “EUROCULTURE: Society, Politics and Culture in a Global Context” is coordinated by the University of Groningen and is a transdisciplinary, international and inter-university project, in which various disciplines, eight well-known European and four non-EU universities participate. Its aim is to prepare graduates from Europe and third-countries for professions and research areas in which knowledge of present-day Europe and European Union institutions are of relevance.

The European Master of Neuroscience Programme Neurasmus is coordinated by the University of Bordeaux and remains the only joint Master programme in Neuroscience world-wide, combining the expertise of five European universities with one Canadian university and involving a structured student mobility scheme. Since 2010, the Neurasmus programme attracts excellent students from around the world and provides a research based academic training to enhance career perspectives of graduates in academia and beyond.

Both study programmes will be co-funded by the European Commission with approx. 4 million Euros for the next five years, from September 2020 until August 2026. In addition, both programmes have been chosen as a Success Story & Good Practice Example from the best projects of all Erasmus Mundus projects.

As part of the Erasmus+ programme (2014-2020) Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree courses are esteemed and integrated international study programmes carried out by transnational consortia of higher education institutions.
