Dear readers, dear colleagues,

Göttingen is international. Just one example of that is last month’s introductory week during which the Incoming Office of the International Office welcomed over 400 new international students from 67 countries to the University of Göttingen. The varied programme was carried out with much enthusiasm and effort to get the new students well prepared for their time in our city. Find a link to the picture gallery in the article!

If you are interested in the diversity of cultures in Göttingen, now is the time to sign up for the Cultural Evenings this fall/winter term on Japan, Serbia and Brazil, organised by Foyer International.  Other upcoming cultural events for German and international students are presented in the ‘Foyer International Brochure’ that is available for download now.

Did you know the University of Göttingen has partnered with East China Normal University in Shanghai, Arizona State University in Tuscon and Voronezh State University in Voronezh, Russia? The B.A. study programme World Literature allows students to sign up for a double-degree and gain first hand experience at one of these universities. Find out more in the newsletter section ‘Featured Study Programmes’.

Enjoy the read!

With kind regards,

Patricia Nehring
