Career Services for International Students

The Career Service of the University offers a variety of possibilities for students who want to start their career path planning outside academia in a global context. Especially for international students who want to gain working experiences in Germany, an advisory service in English, career tools and programmes are provided for this target group. Here is a selection of special events in winter term:

Certificate Programme “Building International Careers”

“Building International Careers” is offered now as a blended learning programme. International and German students work together on personal career preferences in workshops, online modules based on self-assessment, webinars and peer-to-peer-coaching. The programme is open for BA and MA students of all disciplines and starts on November 13th.

20.11.2019 Workshop: Arbeiten in Deutschland. Sich selbst kennen, mit der Bewerbung überzeugen, den Arbeitsmarkt verstehen.

This workshop is part of the INTEGRA-Programme and provides an orientation to the German labour market. It is aimed at refugees and international students who want to learn more about application procedures in Germany, application documents and legal issues. The event will be offered in easy German.

09.12.2019 Lecture: Prepare yourself – Which job research strategy is the right one for you?

Within this lecture, the students gain professional insights on different research strategies for qualified jobs. Trainer Simon Chaplin shows a wide range of possibilities of where and how to find the job that matches individual interests, competences and values.
