Foyer International is happy to invite all students of the University of Göttingen to our Cultural evenings at the International Office / Foyer International, Von-Siebold-Straße 2.
According to a survey, which took place last semester, Japan, Serbia and Brazil were the countries that received the most interest for a cultural evening this winter term. Cultural evenings give everyone an opportunity to feel the diversity of the University of Göttingen brought by students from different countries. These evenings usually take place once a month during the semester, always on Mondays.
4 November 2019 – Cultural evening: JAPAN
Japan is the place where modern life is mixed with ancient traditions which makes the country truly unique. During the evening, all participants will have a chance to learn more about Japanese traditions, try national dishes and participate in various activities.

2 December 2019 – Cultural evening: SERBIA
Situated on the crossroads of the main Balkan routes, Serbia has preserved a significant cultural wealth. Serbian literature is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world, Serbian cuisine is rich in a variety of dishes, the people of Serbia are known for their sincerity and pride. On the 2nd of December students have an opportunity to find out more about Serbian culture!

6 January 2020: Cultural evening: BRAZIL
The culture of Brazil deserves to be called one of the most diverse. Brazil is famous for its bright festivals such as Carnaval and energetic music such as ’samba‘ and ‚bossa nova‘. Students have the opportunity to join our colourful celebration of Brazilian culture on 6th of January at Foyer International!
