Dear readers and colleagues,
we start our first newsletter 2023 with a look back at past activities. International excursions to Bosnia and Herzegovina & Chile took place within the framework of the liveSciences³ project. In Göttingen, the International Student Office could welcome the newly arrived students for the winter semester 2022/23 at the Welcome Event, after two years online, finally back in presence. Another highlight was the hosting of the second ENLIGHT Teaching & Learning Conference.
What about the future? Did you intend to make 2023 your international year? The International Office supports students and researchers with their individual international mobility projects and works towards creating cooperation & partnerships worldwide with other institutions. International researchers can join the monthly guided tours organized by the Welcome Centre. The workshops of Foyer International provide a meeting place for students from all over the world, and the Career service supports you with the career platform GoinGlobal, just to name a few offers of the University. We could launch a new cooperation “Study & Basketball“ with the Basketball Bundesliga club BG in Göttingen, for all basketball players out there, wanting to study in Göttingen. And the liveSciences³ project launched a new, open R & Statics wiki. Don’t forget to check out other events and open calls in this newsletter and on facebook.
