New Staff at the International Office
In January 2019, Patricia Nehring (M.A. Diplomatic Studies) has taken on the role of our Head of International Marketing at Göttingen International. Ms. Nehring brings extensive international marketing experience from a career in managerial positions for globally operating employers.
In her latest position as Country Manager for STS Education, an international company for student study abroad programmes with headquarters in Sweden and offices in 15 countries worldwide, Ms. Nehring transformed company performance through re-structuring team, marketing and sales processes leading to increased visibility on the German market and increased new client acquisition. From 2011-2015 Ms. Nehring worked as a Marketing Specialist and a Corporate Access Manager for Berenberg bank in the City of London and Hamburg. She ran marketing initiatives (during international conferences, events, one on one meetings and in written correspondence) in multiple countries representing Berenberg investor access opportunities to over 400 international companies. She advised the London research team of over 70 analysts on pitching opportunities and was in charge of evaluation, weekly reports and a feedback gathering IT software. Later she transferred to the Hamburg private banking department to drive new client acquisition projects.
In her early career Ms. Nehring also worked for governmental employers, the Committee on Foreign Affairs in Berlin, the German Embassy in London and UK-German Connection in London.
Her tasks at GI include strategy development for international marketing and the creation and selection of information – print and online – about the University of Göttingen and the Göttingen Campus to be distributed on international level via various channels: Website, online portals, social media, newsletters, events, international fairs etc. Ms. Nehring’s work involves intensive cross-institutional and international collaboration.
