Göttingen International Short Term Programmes Strengthen Cooperation with Strategic Partners

In order to strengthen the cooperation with strategic partners in the US, in the European U4 network and in the German-Japanese network HeKKSaGOn, the University of Göttingen initiated a new series of summer schools. The “International Short Term Programmes Göttingen” offer academic short-term courses for international students and students from Göttingen during semester breaks. Multiple EU Research Scholarships for China, Morocco, Mexico, and Vietnam

The EU-funded KITFEM-Project offers multiple scholarships for a research stay at partner universities in China, Mexico, or Vietnam. KITFEM stands for Knowledge and Innovation in, To and From Emerging Markets. Scholarship recipients are expected to be interested in research topics related to KITFEM, broadly conceived. On September 13 and 14, 2017, a joint workshop between plant scientists, agronomists and agricultural modelers from the University of Göttingen and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem took place in Rehovot, Israel. PRoTECT (Plant Responses to Eliminate Critical threats) is a DFG-funded International Research Training Group (IRTG) in the field of molecular plant sciences, especially interested in plant-microbe and plant-insect interactions. From September 25 to October 6, the University of Göttingen welcomed around 100 lawyers and attorneys from 14 Latin American countries. The guests participated at the fourth Summer School on Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure in Spanish and Portuguese languages.
