Chinese Delegation Visits the Faculty of Economics Sciences
In August 2017, a number of Chinese doctoral students visited the Faculty of Economic Sciences to learn about the research and teaching programmes, particularly those focused on Development Economics.
After a presentation of the faculty by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Lutz M. Kolbe, the 15 doctoral students received more information about research and teaching activities, particularly in the area of development economics. In addition to Prof. Dr. Krisztina Kis-Katos (Chair of International Economic Policy), Prof. Dr. Stephan Klasen, Ph.D. (Chair of Development Economics) and Prof. Dr. Sebastian Vollmer (Chair of Development Economics / Center for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS)), Prof. Dr. Dr. Fabian J. Froese (Chair of Human Resources Management and Asian Business) as well as Prof. Xiaohua Yu, PhD from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (Chair of Agricultural Economics in Developing and Transition Countries) presented the research activities of their respective Chairs. The meeting also provided ample networking opportunities. It was followed by a tour of the city from Dr. Frank Stiller, Director of the Foreign Representation of the Georg-August-University of Göttingen in Nanjing, China.
