The University of Göttingen is successful in the Call 2021 for the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks
As part of an international consortium, the University of Göttingen was awarded a grant in the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks. The consortium, led by the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (The Netherlands), will receive €2.6 million to fund a doctoral training network. During the next four years, the network aims to train ten doctoral candidates on cutting-edge enzyme technology centered around N-N and C-C bond formations, thereby preparing the next generation of researchers for the implementation of sustainable enzymatic processes in the European Biotech sector.

Scientific lead at the University of Göttingen: Prof. K. Tittmann, Department of Molecular Enzymology
Doctoral Networks provide funding for transnational doctoral training programmes established by consortia comprised of European organisations and beyond from the academic and non-academic sector including universities, research institutions and businesses (incl. SMEs). Their aim is to train highly skilled doctoral candidates and to improve their career opportunities by engaging in excellent research and international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. Doctoral Networks are available in three different types:
