Experiences from the liveSciences³ Project – Producing Educational Videos together with International Partners
After long preparation, including storyboard, script writing and planning the film schedule, the liveSciences³ project team from the forestry faculty, the International Office and SUB video team went to Costa Rica end of July 2022. There they filmed material at different forest and agricultural sites and in national parks and worked on the production and implementation of educational videos together with the colleagues from the forestry faculty of the Tecnológico de Costa Rica (TEC). The aim is to publish the video-based learning material as open educational resources (OER) and use it for teaching within the life sciences network and beyond.
Rethinking international teaching and learning as well as creating space and material for global learning is one of the main goals of the liveSciences³ project*. As part of the project activities educational video-based learning material is produced together with liveSciences³ partner universities; lately about biodiversity, land use and agroforestry related topics with the TEC in Costa Rica.
Additionally, as part of the liveSciences³ project, educators were and will be continuously trained in ´video based teaching and learning` as well the ´use and produce of OER`. Latest information about the liveSciences³ project, upcoming workshops and OER are available online as well as at social media (Twitter and Instagram).
