Horizon Europe – MSCA Calls Currently Open
Within the first call under the new Framework Programme Horizon Europe, two calls in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are currently open:
MSCA Doctoral Networks
Doctoral Networks provide funding for transnational doctoral training programmes established by consortia comprised of European organisations and beyond from the academic and non-academic sector including universities, research institutions and businesses (incl. SMEs). Their aim is to train highly skilled doctoral candidates and to improve their career opportunities by engaging in excellent research and international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. Doctoral Networks are available in three different types:
- Doctoral Networks
- Industrial Doctorates
- Joint Doctorates

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
Postdoctoral Fellowships support researchers of any nationality to develop their skills for their future career by conducting a personalised research project. Postdoctoral Fellowships promote international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. Researchers from all disciplines thus have the opportunity to gain experience in other disciplines and in the non-academic sector. Research projects can be realised within and outside of Europe:
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships: Mobility within/to Europe
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships: Mobility outside Europe, a 12-month return phase to Europe is mandatory
