Students from German School in Cuenca, Ecuador, visit the University of Göttingen

A group of 14 eleven-grader students from the German School Stiehle in Cuenca, Ecuador, visited the University of Göttingen on 5 July. The students were visiting several universities in Germany to inform themselves about prospective study programmes for their university studies, once they finish their high school with an International Baccalaureate® (IB).

The Regional Coordinator for Latin America and Africa from the International Office organized the visit and welcomed the group. As part of the programme, the students visited the new Forum Wissen, the Central Campus, the old city centre, and UniSports where they had a fun Geocaching activity. At the end of the visit, the students had refreshments at Foyer International, watched a presentation about the university and its study programmes and were able to ask questions about how to become a Göttingen student.

The German School Stiehle is part of the network of German schools worldwide, where students can opt for an International Baccalaureate, become fluent in German and can be accepted directly to German universities.
