“Georgian Day” at the University of Göttingen
In July 2019, the Chair of Modern History of Eastern Europe organized the first “Georgian Day” at the University of Göttingen. This successful event will be held in 2021 as well. Next year´s digital “Georgian Day” will take place on January 19th 2021 (4:15 pm – 7:45 pm). During two sessions, professors, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral students from Georgia will present their recent research on social cohesion in past, present and future. Speakers include Ana Lolua, one of the PhD students in the binational, multidisciplinary German-Georgian Lehmann-Haupt doctoral program hosted by the University of Göttingen and Ilia State University, and her supervisor at the Ilia State University, Prof. Oliver Reisner.
