Study Chemistry5 Reasons why international students should study Chemistry in Göttingen

1. Excellent facilities

Students at the Faculty of Chemistry are able to take advantage of a wide range of scientific facilities ranging from NMR- and mass-spectroscopy units and x-ray facilities  to the members of the Göttingen Campus, including eight local non-university research institutions such as the Max Planck institutes.

2. Top quality teaching with personal support

The Chemistry programmes at the University of Göttingen are characterised by their breadth and depth of training, top quality teaching including early stage research-oriented modules and the passing on of well-founded specialist knowledge. Extensive practical training, a free optional prep course, and additional digital support are only a few of the benefits provided by the faculty.

3. Cooperation with industry

The Faculty of Chemistry has close scientific links within the Göttingen Campus. Further research collaborations with industry as well as cooperation agreements with several partner companies such as Sartorius, Symrise and Foam Partner allow for additional research, study and teacher training.

4. Career support

Cooperation with several partner companies enables students to experience a professional working environment through internships. Additionally, the lecture series »Careers in Chemistry«, with reports by alumni, is offered every semester to present various possible career paths. Further career support is offered directly by the faculty and central advice services at the University of Göttingen.

5. Students and alumni enjoy studying and living in Göttingen
