First Virtual Alumni Day at the University of Göttingen
What were the major events at the University of Göttingen in 2020? How did the Campus – its students, partners, scientists, lecturers and employees – continue to operate under the very challenging circumstances? Which measures were taken to guarantee the continuation of studies amid the pandemic? On the occasion of the annual Göttingen Alumni Day Professor Reinhard Jahn, President of the University of Göttingen, reviews the year 2020 and gives insight into the current situation.
2020 was the first virtual Alumni Day at the University of Göttingen and we are thrilled. Our conclusion: The virtual Alumni Day was a success and in the future we will integrate digital formats into the event in order to have alumni from around the world among us. It was so nice to see over 100 alumni online and to exchange memories of Göttingen.
