Workshop “Territorial Peace and Property”
The Institute for Agricultural Law of the University of Göttingen organised the workshop “Territorial peace and property – a critical evaluation of the Havana agreement” from October 10 to 14, 2017 in Göttingen.
The event brought together 16 researchers from three Colombian universities (Universidad Santo Tomás, Universidad Nacional, Universidad de la Salle) and two German universities (Göttingen University und University of Konstanz). The participating researchers compose the working group at Instituto CAPAZ (German – Colombian Peace Institute) who deals with the first chapter of the Colombian peace agreement: the integrated land reform. This chapter is economically and politically of key significance for the implementation of the peace agreement, and therefore the most controversial.
Prof. Dr. Hiltraud Casper-Hehne, Vice-President for International Affairs of the University of Göttingen, welcomed the participant researchers and signed a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Law of the University of Göttingen and the Universidad Santo Tomás, Colombia.
The workshop took place as part of the network of the Instituto CAPAZ, in which the Göttingen University is a consortium member.
