Global opportunities exist in nearly every field – business, science, government, healthcare, communications, engineering, the arts, and more. On November 16th, 2021, Dr. Joann Halpern held a virtual expert talk discussing key strategies that are important to consider when designing a global career. Studying in Germany is one thing, getting a job another… What should be paid attention to and where to find the right help? These questions were at the core of two group coaching sessions of the Coaching for international students starting their careers in Germany (DAAD-Programme ‚Integra‘) regularly offering individual coaching sessions for international and refugee students at the Career Service. The virtual group coaching sessions focused on exploring individual strengths and potential using creative methods in small groups and provided orientation concerning job search, applications and job interviews as well as intercultural aspects of the application process in Germany according to the demands of the participants.
