liveSciences³ Encourages Educators to Use & Produce Open Educational Resources (OER) to Strengthen International Academic Collaboration
liveSciences³ aims to further develop digital teaching and learning together with international partner universities in Chile, Costa Rica, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a series of events and material, the liveSciences³ project and team aims to encourage and support educators to use and produce OER to actively contribute towards an open teaching and learning culture.
1. liveSciences³ Experience Kaleidoscope
Who can participate?
Lecturers and teaching supporting staff from the liveSciences³ partner universities including the University of Göttingen open to reflect on and share experiences on digital teaching and learning
What is it about?
The event aims to reflect on teachers’ online learning and teaching concepts, formats and innovations. This time it will be dedicated to the topic of OER and Noreen Krause and Britta Beutnagel (TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology, University Library) will introduce the OER portal of Lower Saxony (twillo: www.twillo.de) and share information about characteristics of open educational materials and reflect on opportunities and challenges that go along with their production and use.

2. liveSciences³ OER Workshop
Who can participate?
Lecturers and teaching supporting staff from the liveSciences³ partner universities including the University of Göttingen, plus other universities in Lower Saxony interested in OER in higher education
What is it about?
As part of the liveSciences³ Workshop Series on Digital Competencies this workshop aims to strengthen digital competencies of educators in the field of producing and using OER. It will discover how open educational materials can enrich your teaching and strengthen international academic collaboration. The workshop will be organized in collaboration with the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology, University Library, Hannover and the OER portal of Lower Saxony (twillo: www.twillo.de).
