Dear readers, dear colleagues,
How can we combat global challenges?
We need motivation, knowledge sharing and steps going beyond borders. The possibilities are there and our university with its staff, students and partners are making a valuable contribution by offering various projects and opportunities.
We have a new section in this newsletter dedicated to ENLIGHT – an alliance formed by research-intensive universities from nine countries. The ENLIGHT network is here to tackle five areas in need of global transformation: 1. Health & well-being, 2. Digital revolution and impact of digitization, 3. Climate change, 4. Energy transition and Circular economy and 5. Equity. Students are encouraged to apply to participate in the newly set up ENLIGHT Global Engagement Module. Read also about the lecture and workshop regarding strategies against racism taking place in October 2021 as well as the next steps towards the ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference in November 2021.
The liveSciences³ project is all about rethinking and creating space for global digital teaching and learning. Our team reports about the successful online international lecture series ‚Local Solutions for Global Challenges‘ for students and about the virtual event series „Experience Kaleidoscope“ for lecturers. Due to the positive experience, both the lecture series and the Experience Kaleidoscope will be continued.
Furthermore, we have news about student exchange programmes and experiences as well as information services and events.
Enjoy clicking through our teams‘ reports and find out more!
All the best,
