Stay Connected! New Virtual Exchange Programme: Göttingen International Connections
The current global situation makes it difficult for students to go abroad, as physical mobility frequently gets delayed or even cancelled. Responding to this, Göttingen International offers students of Göttingen University and all its partner institutions around the world the opportunity to meet virtually, develop, and practice their intercultural communication and online collaboration skills.
The virtual exchange programme aims to prepare nominated students for their stay abroad or in Göttingen and foster internationalization @home giving non-mobile students the opportunity to participate and to have an authentic intercultural experience.
The virtual exchange workshop will run for five weeks, with an expected workload of three hours per week for the synchronous video sessions and asynchronous online assignments.
The exchange will run in two batches, the first with a regional focus on the Americas (in October-November 2021) and the second with a focus on Asia (in February-March 2022). For the (optional) kick-off meeting and final showcase, both groups will come together.
The international office / Göttingen International and the Intercultural Learning Lab of the University of Göttingen organize the virtual exchange programme.
