Göttingen International has a new Brochure: “Wege ins Ausland” – Programmes and Support Services for Going Abroad

The ‘International relations’ division at the International Office encompasses the management and expansion of international cooperation initiatives and strategic networks, as well as the promotion of exchange opportunities abroad. These efforts are complemented by the development and coordination of externally funded projects through the EU and DAAD as well as efforts to promote the visibility of the University at home and abroad.

Exploring the numerous possibilities to find the right study abroad opportunity is exciting and daunting at the same time, especially during a global pandemic. Students planning a stay abroad need to consider a number of things: exchange and scholarship deadlines, language proficiency and the recognition of credits earned abroad, to name a few. Our new Outgoing Brochure gives students information on our different exchange and scholarship programmes such as ERASMUS+ and the Global Exchange Programme. Erasmus+ is an educational exchange programme initiated by the European Union, which has as its goal to internationalise European higher education and improve the employability of students. The Global Exchange Programme is our central exchange programme with more than 50 partner universities around the globe.

Because funding is a key issue for many students, the brochure covers several scholarships administrated by Göttingen International such as the DAAD-funded scholarship programmes PROMOS and NAMASTE+, as well as special regional scholarships such as the Kim Korea Scholarship, which supports study abroad in Korea.
