First Exhibition at the Göttingen Pune Outreach Centre (GPOC)
GPOC exhibition “Innovative Research in the Natural and Social Sciences” took place on February 28, 2017 and was the first event organised at the GPOC Pavilion after its inauguration on November 25, 2016. Participants included academics, researchers, students and parents who were very keen in acquiring information about various programs offered by the University of Göttingen. A majority of the participants came from a social science background. The showcasing of two experiments (Magnetic Levitation Train and Solar Hydrogen System) was a highlight of this exhibition. On this occasion, Dr. Karin Klenke (Centre for Modern Indian Studies, CeMIS) conducted a photo exhibition on Diversity and Heterogeneity in India.
The main objective of this exhibition was to promote studying and researching at the University of Göttingen, and to foster a stronger network with its Indian partner institutions.
