EXPERTS Regional Workshop at the Bogor Agricultural University
The EXPERTS Inaugural Regional Workshop, organised and led by the EXPERTS Project Coordination Team at Göttingen International in cooperation with the EXPERTS Co-Coordinator, Bogor Agricultural University, was held from March 29 to March 30, 2017 in Bogor, Indonesia. The EXPERTS Regional Workshop Series is conceived as the next direct joint initiative to maintain and advance collaboration among the projects’ partners and to tackle common issues relating to internationalisation in Higher Education. The series also aims at fostering sustainable regional and international cooperation and at improving the cooperation prospects among the Consortia members.
The meeting was attended by around 45 participants each day, consisting of the EXPERTS Projects’ partners, the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, the DAAD, the Erasmus Mundus Association, and from the industry and organisations within the South and South-East Asian region.
The workshop focused on the following topics: credit recognition, employability, and future joint cooperation. In addition to identifying prospects for future cooperation, the inaugural Regional Workshop also sought to provide participants with a platform from which to exchange knowledge, to engage in networking, to report on individual or joint structured cooperation developments, and to raise the profile of their institutions and the education sector in the respective regions.
It is hoped that subsequent regional workshops and cooperation between the Consortia partners will be initiated and extended thanks to the groundwork laid in this Inaugural Regional Workshop, and that external actors and experts in the field of industry and Higher Education will also be involved in the future.
