14th Horizons in Molecular Biology Symposium to Take Place in September

The Horizons in Molecular Biology Symposium is an international conference organised by PhD students of the International Max Planck Research School for Molecular Biology. It will take place from the 11th to the 14th of September at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen.

For 14 years, this event has brought together fascinating speakers from all areas of molecular biology, as well as PhD students and young scientists from around the world. This year’s invited speakers include optogenetics pioneer Ed Boyden, bio-engineer Hiroaki Suga and splicing expert Jean Beggs. As in previous years, speakers and participants will have many options to network and interact, for example during the wine-and-cheese poster session or the conference dinner. The registration has been opened on the website.

The first day of our Horizons Symposium (September 11) will focus on career opportunities for life scientists in and out of Academia in the forum of the 11th Horizons Career Fair. Participants have the possibility to listen to career talks, learn relevant skills in workshops and build their network in a speed-dating session.

More information about the Horizons Symposium, invited speakers, past conferences and the Horizons Career Fair can be found on our website.
