University of Göttingen and K+S Continue Cooperation
The University of Göttingen and the K+S KALI GmbH continue their public-private-partnership “IAPN – Institute of Applied Plant Nutrition”. A corresponding agreement has now been signed. About six years after its foundation, IAPN has been established successfully in research and teaching in the field of applied plant nutrition.
In times of changing climate, IAPN focuses its scientific activities on research about resource efficiency. In the past six years, the institute’s focus lay on a range of topics in the field of crop water use efficiency. The studies were driven by the question of how plant stands can cope with less water and which management may help using water more efficiently. “Apart from basic research, our focus is on questions of high relevance for the agricultural practice”, says Prof. Dr. Klaus Dittert, scientific director of the IAPN. In addition to its research, IAPN is very active in knowledge transfer and has developed several formats for this purpose.
More information about IAPN is offered on its website.
