BMBF: Scientific and Technological Cooperation with Uzbekistan
The German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) and the State Committee for the Coordination of the Development of Science and Technology at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (KKEWT) would like to further extend the scientific and technological cooperation (WTZ) of both countries.
The support concerns staff exchange, the coordination of bilateral cooperation, and the organisation of events within the measures of „project-oriented mobility“ („Projektbezogene Mobilität“). The planned measures are expected to support research projects that are funded by other sources:
- Measures for the preparation of new project-oriented or institutional partnerships and actions to intensify already existing ones
- Measures for the conceptualisation and development of projects and partnerships, whose fundings are to be applied for within the framework of a BMBF specialist programme or a programme of the EU.
In accordance with the specific research foci of the BMBF and the KKEWT, applications for the following fields of research submitted:
- Environmental risks and the investigation of impacts of the anthropgenic climate change
- Alternative sources of energy and renewable energies
- Health research and bio sciences
- Physical-chemical technologies
- Information and communication technologies
- Material sciences
- Production technology
- Water supply and agricultural science
A project outline has to be presented within the first project stage (until 14 December 2016).
